Week 1-4

Assalaamu alaikum,

Here is short summary of our first four weeks which we finished before I created this blog and started to make a journal. At this time my childrens age are 4 accurate, 2 years and five months and our infant at 5 weeks.

Before we got organized with the curriculum we still did some Quran memorization, talks and reading for our children on deen and learning different dua and implemented islam in our everyday life. The difference now is that its organized.

Week 1: Man rabbok? Who is your lord.
The learned the name Allah, Ar-rahman and Ar-raheem and we talked about what rabb means.

They memorized surah al Asr with their father and I explained to them the meaning of the surah.

We did a worksheet I found at thm and they learned the dua for forgiveness.

We read from Aqeeda 1 by Moosa Richardson, which is so suitable for their age masha Allah. They did some of the aqeeda activities from amuslimchildisborn and cut and paste, they really love getting to use the scissor,

We also started reading al-usool athalatha for kids.

They traced letters alif, lam and ha in arabic and A, a and L, l in english. We practised with them on our magnetboard.

They coloured the names of prophet Adam a.s and Mohammed saw and we discussed the first and last prophet of Allah and we read short stories about them.

Week 2: ayna Allah? Where is Allah?

We did the workbook from amuslimchild is born, and this was for sure a fruitful lesson masha Allah, especially for our oldest child who appearantly had thought a lot about that

They learned about the names al ala and al alee.

They did trace the letters noon and waw and S,B and W.

And they started surah al fil with baba, and we talked about the meaning of the surah.

They coloured the name of prophet nuh with water colours and we read the story. The painting skills have not improved too much yet, but masha Allah she has so fun doing it and really trying her best.

The dua to be practised this week were for getting in to the bathroom.

And we continued reading aqeeda 1 and usool athalatha.
We did counting with numbers, and they made the numbers 1-10 like this:

And we did they away we go insha Allah worksheets,

which is to be found at a muslim child is born ,and we made a little trip to the railway close to us.

Week 3: Man khalaqo? Who created you.

We again did the workbook from Umm An-Nu`man at amuslimchildisborn, and it were great again masha Allah.

We learned the names al-khaliq, al barri and al musawwir.

We continued reading aqeeda 1 and usool athalatha.

And we did another acitivity from thm on small sins, and talked about how good deeds wipe out bad deeds.

We read the story on prophet Hud a.s, but did not get as far as do the colouring part for our book, but we will catch up insha Allah.

We did some aqeeda activities from amuslimchildisborn as well.

We did a little tracing, letters kha and qaaf and M and T, but I could see they started getting bored with it so I guess we will pause that acitivity and do some worksheets instead for a while.

Week 4: Creations of Allah, annas - the humans.

We did the workbook, and that made us come in to a small conversation on who the jinn are. I think they understood the concept, at least my son. In the workbook they are invited to choose a muslim country to learn more about it, my girl chose yemen and my son chose Saudi, masha Allah
That were interesting.

We read in our atlas about different countries and parts of the world.

Baba got home from travel and they finished surah al fil, alhamdulillah.

We read the story of prophet Salih a.s.

We started learning the dua of getting dressed, and we read the book jamleeah gets dressed, here at minimumin

We did aqeeda acitivity from amuslimchildisborn

,and we made for our baby an infant mobile with shapes from the same site

We continued reading aqeeda 1 and usool athalatha.

They learned the names al-aleem and al-aziz.

They did some worksheets too.
